Accounts and subscription

Do you need an account?#

No. "Continue without an account" is a real option, and it costs you nothing in protection.

Without an account you still get the whole gambling block, App-check, personal filters, signed rule updates, the PIN, the cooldown, delete protection, Sam and the widget.

An account adds:

  • your streak survives a reinstall or a new phone;
  • a subscription follows you across devices;
  • password recovery.

Signing out never turns protection off. Neither does deleting your account.

Creating an account#

Email and password, or Google.

  • Marketing email is a separate, explicit choice, never bundled into creating an account, and never on by default.
  • Passwords are never stored in readable form anywhere.
  • Repeated failed sign-in attempts are throttled.
  • Haven never reveals whether an email address is registered — a wrong password and an unknown address give the same answer.

Forgotten password#

Request a reset from the sign-in screen. If the address has an account, a reset link is emailed and lands on Haven's own reset page.

The screen says the same thing whether or not the address exists, deliberately, so nobody can use it to find out who has an account.

Changing your password#

You must enter your current password. Haven verifies it properly rather than trusting that you are already signed in — otherwise anyone holding your unlocked phone could take the account over and lock you out.

If the check cannot be completed — you are offline, say — the change is refused. "We could not check" must never read as "it was right".

Deleting your account#

Settings → Account → delete.

Your account and everything attached to it (profile, progression, cosmetics, entitlement records) are erased server-side. Your local session is only cleared once the server confirms — if it fails, you stay signed in so you can see that and try again, rather than being shown a farewell that is not true.

If you have already uninstalled Haven, there is a deletion request page on the website, and the address in the privacy policy.

Deleting your account does not turn protection off.

Haven Pro Plus#

What stays free, forever#

The entire gambling block, and everything that keeps it standing: site blocking, app blocking, App-check, personal filters, self-learning, signed updates, the activity log, the PIN, the cooldown, delete protection, Sam, streak cosmetics and the widget.

Nobody is priced out of the actual protection.

What Pro Plus adds#

Financial protection, the budget and spending screens, the rest library, the accountability partner, and the Pro cosmetics for Sam.

Prices and the trial#

Weekly, monthly or yearly. Prices come live from your store, in your currency, so what you see is what you will be charged.

The free trial is a Google Play free-trial offer: payment details up front, the trial period free, and it converts automatically unless you cancel. The paywall states this before you buy.

Managing or cancelling#

Settings → Subscription opens a customer center where you can see your plan, restore purchases and reach the cancellation flow. Cancellation itself is handled by Google Play.

Cancelling does not immediately revoke access — you keep Pro through the end of the period you paid for.

Restoring purchases#

Use "restore purchases" after a reinstall or on a new device.

If your subscription ends#

  • Financial protection stops intervening — cleanly, not half-working.
  • Pro cosmetics stop being drawn, but your choices are kept, so they come back exactly as they were if you resubscribe. Nothing is wiped.
  • Your entire gambling block, PIN, cooldown and delete protection are untouched.

If Pro-gated features stop working unexpectedly#

Haven never removes a Pro feature because of a failed check — only a successful answer from the server changes anything, precisely so that losing signal cannot make the pause in front of your banking app disappear.

If something is genuinely missing: check that you are signed in with the account you purchased on, then use "restore purchases". See Troubleshooting.
