Support
If you are struggling right now#
Haven is a tool that makes relapse harder in the moment. It is not treatment, and it is not a substitute for real support.
If gambling is causing you harm, please contact a gambling support service in your country. Most offer free, confidential help by phone, chat or in person, and many have a 24-hour line.
TODO: verify. Whether to list specific national helplines here — and which ones, for which markets — is an editorial decision that needs confirming, along with keeping the numbers current. The app itself does not currently link to a helpline.
If you are in immediate danger or crisis, contact your local emergency number.
Self-exclusion#
A blocker on one phone is one layer. Most jurisdictions also run an official self-exclusion register that stops licensed operators from accepting you at all — across every device, and in person.
Haven deliberately allowlists the official register sites, so its own keyword rules can never block you from reaching the thing that would help most.

Common questions before you write#
Most issues are covered already:
- Troubleshooting — protection stopping, a site still loading, permissions, PIN, subscription problems
- FAQ — what Haven can see, what is free, how to turn it off
- Turning protection off — the full route
- Managing blocks — adding filters, correcting mistakes
Reporting a bug#
Please include:
- Android version and phone model
- Whether protection was on
- Which permissions were granted (VPN, accessibility, device admin)
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead
Please do not send screenshots of your activity log or your personal filters. They contain the names of gambling sites, and we do not need them to fix a bug.
Reporting a site Haven missed, or blocked wrongly#
Send the domain and which it is. This directly improves the shared blocklist for everyone.
In the meantime you can fix it yourself immediately: Guard → Personal filters, where you can add a domain or remove one.
Privacy and data requests#
For access, correction, deletion or portability of your data, write to privacy@realhavenapp.com.
You can also act without contacting anyone:
- Delete your account in the app, or from the deletion request page on the website if you have already uninstalled it.
- Remove all on-device data by uninstalling Haven.
Note that most of what Haven holds never leaves your phone in the first place — see Data handling.
Security#
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please report it privately to privacy@realhavenapp.com before disclosing it publicly, and allow reasonable time for a fix.
Please do not publish techniques for bypassing the protection. The people who would use them are, by definition, people in a vulnerable moment. Report them privately instead.
